I had purchased a bricked c760 (2 bad NAND blocks) for the screen. I did swap out the screen to use for my c700 and I put this one aside..
I found out how to fix the screen so I put it on the bricked c760. I decided to tinker around with it and I did a NAND erase and was able to flash it back. So now the c760 that I thought was bricked is working! This is great! the c760 works so much faster than my c700 (stupid PXA250 processor..

Background story: I broke my C700 screen a few months back (screen works but no backlight). I recently bought a broken C760 (bad NAND blocks.. cant get it to flash NAND). Well, I took the screen from the C760 and used it for the C700.
I took some pics of it while I took it apart. I'll set it up on a website with some comments. I just have to resize and upload.

Is there a way to make it so that any guests that wish to post must put some type of name in username field?
I see too many threads with multiple posts by guest... but I dont know who these people are. I've seen threads that seem like there are 2 guests posting, but I dont know one post from the other :?

I'm thinking of selling my 5500 and my c700 (when I get it fixed) but I still want a zaurus.
should I go with C760, c860 or sl-6000?? I know that there's not much difference btwn the 760 and 860, but hte case looks nicer (dunno if it's worth the extra $$ ) I want the features that 6000 have (builtin bluetooth and wifi) but I really dont want to go back to the tablet design after using clamshell design oh the dilemma!! ?!? :? |
