Hey all, I was looking through the old forum for info about the smartcard reader, and somebody on there...Guylhem actually....said he had the sourcecode for a kernel module, I think..


Anyway, anybody know where I might find that source code? I'd like to play around with the cardreader.

I know I'll still have to make and/or find a userland program to handle it, but that's fine...

Let me know if you do get it. I've developed quite a few smartcard applications and drivers and can probably hack up something quickly.

See the links at the bottom of externe.net/zaurus/simpad-bluetooth for the 2.4.25 I use (working mostly fine) and my b0rked 2.4.29 (a couple of hours work - works suprisignly good for so little time spent - I only wanted to have the latest bluetooth stack to try to work around some hidp kernel bug)

The smartcard patch is on externe.net/zaurus/simpad-bluetooth/smartcard - it was done by Juergen but never tested. IIRC it's included in kernel 2.4.25

if you guys feel something is missing in this 2.4.25 kernel, please submit patches.

I will try to post a list of all the patches that are included in my tarball compared to a vanilla 2.4.25 kernel, and try to test and add the ones submitted to that kernel tree.

A 2.6 would be great, but it's missing too much features at the moment (I prefer stability)

sounds great that there are efforts to the smartcard .
I would be pleasured to have the ability to use them on the simpad.

It would be awsome to have the drivers for 2.6 as well .
