Has anyone one had a problem trying to ssh into a newly flashed hentges rom (3.5.3 w/cardfs installed)? When ever I attempt to connect I get prompted for a password and then get "Permission denied, please try again". I've created a non-root user w/password and get the same error. I also enabled root login for sshd and restarted the sshd daemon and still get the same error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thx

The issue is that dropbear (the ssh daemon) doesn't allow connections for users who don't have passwords.
I've no idea why your new user can't connect, but if you set a password for root you should be able to login,

Tried giving root a password and still received the same error. Maybe I should remove dropbear and try openssh?

I used to have issues using some ssh clients (on Windows), while others work.
No idea why. But perhaps this is similar.

Hentges ROMs ship with the full OpenSSH package, not dropbear.
In any case, a password for root must be set in order to be able to login.
