i'm trying to sell my sl-c3000, but have some personal information (banking and identification and such) that i would like to get rid of first. is there any way to wipe the HD and reformat or anything? i know next to nothing about linux, so any help would be appreciated. thanks.
do a factory reset on the c3000 and everything gets wiped and unit will revert to the state in which you purchased it originally (at least software and configuration wise, except the scratches if any

Aren't there two options in the service (or flash?) menu regarding microdrie factory reset? One of them reparitions, thus makes the files inaccessible, and the other one really overwrites the hard disk with /dev/zero.
The latter one would be the safer one.
