Would connecting a female to female usb adaptor to the supplied mini usb to usb (male) cable work as an host cable ?

nope, it won't.

It's not only a connector issue. The host cable has a different
wiring to the client cable.

The Walgreens drugstores are selling a kit that has a USB extension cable with various adapters, including an OTG-A adapter. Works just fine.

I got the IRiver cable.. 6$US, but 25$ for shipping (x_x).. anyways, works like a charm

Goldx from Radio Shack did the trick for me (almost all usb connection types!)

The final soluction is buy a ZHOST cable like me and many others Zauri users..... but in past I did a search... and the result is here:

There is a patch to kernel usb modules to this do the usb port works like zhost with a mini-B plug... I dont know where I put the weblink blink.gif
