I have a Hawking CF Ethernet Adapter (H-CF686TX) and OZ 3.5.4.1 Alpha2. Plugging in the CF card, I get network activity on the card, but OZ does not bind it to an interface. ifconfig does not show eth0. I suspect that the card is not binding to a network module (?). This card worked "plug and play" in cacko 1.23.

pccardctl ident:
product info: "Fast Ethernet", "CF Size PC Card", "1.0", ""
manfid: 0x0149, 0xc1ab
function: 6 (network)

Where can I enter this information to get it to bind??

I also have a Hawking card with the same ident as yours with the same problem. I noticed that there's an entry in the /etc/pcmcia/network.conf file for a Hawking with this ident, but I couldn't say whether that's a good or a bad thing smile.gif. The entry specifies the 'pcnet_cs' module, and I don't see any package of that name available nor any installed module. Could that be the problem? I wouldn't even be able to guess as to what to use instead.

Post the bug # when you enter it. thks

pcnet_cs is built-in in OZ 2.4 kernels

in 2.6 kernels it is in module (default in images)

I have a Linksys PCMPC100 v3, which is a PCMCIA card. It has the same ID as your Hawking card, and even shows up as hawking on the taskbar icon (even after ermovingall refereneces to Hawking in the conf files)! However, when inserted it is recognised as a Linksys but shows the same symptoms. I managed to get it working under 3.5.3 using the axnet driver, but have had no luck in 3.5.4.

ah. So is there anyway that we can tell what drivers are available for testing with a 2.4 kernel? It'd be nice to post a solution with the bug report wink.gif.
