I cannot find the kernel modules ip_tables and iptable_filter; they should be in the packages kernel-module-ip-tables and kernel-module-iptable-filter, but those packages are missing in the 3.5.4.1 feed. Or am I missing something?

Update: added a bugreport
I can't find them either. I've a C3100 running 3.5.4.1 with iptables installed, but the kernel module is missing from the feeds (well, okay,
I can not find it).
no iptables-module-*
no kernel-module-iptables*
Anyone?
Thanks,
Bart

You sure it's not compiled in?
Take a look in (iirc) /sys/modules/

at /sys/modules I can see a directory called
ipv6 and tcp_bic as something that resembles iptables modules, but nothing else.
I don't think that's what's needed ...
At
#iptables -L, I get the error:
FATAL: Module ip_tables not found.
iptables v1.3.3: can't initialize iptables table 'filter': iptables who? (do you need to insmod?)
#modprobe ip_tables
FATAL: Module ip_tables not found
Any other hints?

I've not been able to find any iptables module packages for 2.6.17 kernel. I think these kernel modules for the Hentges ROM may have not been packaged up or were never compiled. I have yet to find a feed with any 2.6.17 kernel modules on it. Hopefully I'm just missing something.

most kernel modules are for 2.6.16, ie
http://openzaurus.linuxtogo.org/download/3.../machine/spitz/the only ones for 2.6.17 are for tosa, ie
http://openzaurus.linuxtogo.org/download/3...d/machine/tosa/however, iptables modules should be machine independant and you should be able to use them.... but remember, try it at your own risk :0

I'm looking for Spitz modules, but thanks for posting that link Meanie. I should have been a little more specific.
Koen, are you aware of any 2.6.17 iptables kernel modules for spitz?
Thanks.
