Full Version: Installing Beta3 Onto The Microdrive On The 3200

Hello all,

First off let me say after trying the Sharp Rom, Cacko, OZ/OPIE, OZ/GPE, I have settled on pdaxrom. In my opinion it is among the best looking and the most powerful and definitely has the best user base (I mean look at the forum posts).

Anyway, I really want to use pdaxrom but I have one major requirement. I would like it installed onto the microdrive on my 3200. I've found things run a decent bit faster from the microdrive and I'd rather not have to worry about where I am installing programs etc...also I figured it's a good idea to save the internal, non replaceable flash memory from a lot of writes.

Anyway, I couldn't find any documentation on this. The installation procedures on the page are from beta1 and doesn't really mention the microdrive. I believe this can be done though.

Does anyone have any ideas?

TIA,
Frank

Anyone have any ideas? I'm pretty sure I've heard of it being done....

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

I think you need to look at the posts concerning installation on C3000 (that has a tiny flash and so everything is installed to HDD).
