I just installed XMMS on my c1000/cacko 1.23 heavy.
When launched, the XMMS player display seems so small I can hardly see the buttons, let alone read what (might be) written on them.
I see no means of increasing font sizes, there seems to be no "options" nor "preferences" to fiddle with...........am I missing something? The magnification button on the c1000 doesn't seem to work either.

Right mouse click on it and choose "Double Size" If you go into the options you can set the fonts too. If you can't right mouse click, I believe the upper left hand corner has a button that opens the menu list, IIRC

I connected a USB mouse. Right clicking in the Playlist Manager area was the only area that allowed a right click. The menu had options for sizing, and max/minimising, but basically neither did anything.
Tap and hold on the XMMS screen does nothing, and there's no button anywhere that seems to open up a menu, at all.
What to do??
The actual Player area is just 1.125 inches by 0.375 inches....tiny. That's why I need something bigger.

I tried all the Control + key options you suggest, nothing happens.
BTW, the installation of XMMS was via the Cacko feed, so should be compatible/work OK ??
Since you are using Cacko, I assume this is for xmms-embedded. If memory serves me correctly, this program was never optimized for the 640x480 display. Even when I had a 5500, I never really got used to the xmms-embedded user interface.
If you are trying to play music under Cacko, the sharp music player works fine for mp3 files, and kino2 can play ogg's. You could also install meanie's pdaxQtrom packages and get the real xmms -- in which case the Ctrl-D technique to double the size (as others have described) should work.

i doubt it was from the official cacko feed, but rather a mirror which has extra packages.

i doubt it was from the official cacko feed, but rather a mirror which has extra packages.
All I did was install XMMS from the feed that is already pre-configured (when one installs the Cacko ROM) in the Package Manager on the c1000.
