Is there an Up-to-Date Web Browser available? Recommendations? Open to using any OS available for my SL-C1000

Under Debian (I think it will run on the C1000) there are:

Galeon
Epiphany (Webkit & Gecko)
Firefox (OABI in repos (Unsure of which version), EABI (FF3 RC1) in some other random place I forgot)
NetSurf

There's always Opera on Cacko/Sharp ROM as well.

I run cacko, the "heavy" version, which just simply works. Comes with Netfront and Opera browsers included. It's a very simple reflash.

You can run some version of debian I believe, which allows you to install and run Firefox, but FF is reportedly pretty slow.

FF is unbearably slow (last time I tried, at least. FF3 should be better). Epiphany is quite nice, though. Almost as snappy as on a desktop/laptop.

How would you compare Epiphany to Opera and Netfront? Is it faster? Does it support more plugins? (I'm trying to decide if Debian is worth the time and trouble to install.)

I've actually never used Opera or Netfront. Epiphany renders like you'd expect a desktop browser to, and at a reasonable speed.

I don't think there are plugins, but I may be wrong. The Gecko-based version (which also renders very quickly, maybe faster than the Webkit one, but with a slower startup*) would be more likely to support plugins, I think.
