A dancing tux would be good, I know there are applets on desktop systems.

I'd like love to see Tux gettin' jiggy on my Z, or a BBC 3 blob man (for those in UK with digital TV) farting and burping.

I remember in GNOME I used to have a Homer who shouted, burped and yelled periodically, that would be even better.

This would be a killer app ( ;-) LOL! )

I just whipped the trolltech QMovie example together with an animated GIF and used a wav file in a call to QSound and created a little tux night fever...but it isn't really exactly what you wanted, you have to click the icon to make it go...

I made a mistake in uploading the .ipk. I have re-uploaded it. If you have already installed it, uninstall it and donwload the new one and re-install it. It fixes a bug in cleanup which leaves the sound process running. Sorry.
