I've come across what looks like a nice application called IQNotes. It is GPL and source is available, but the binary is offered for $20.

The OZ folks are supplying a binary for OZ. Is there somewhere that a Cacko compatible binary can be found for free?
Surreal
There's an older binary available here if you want to just give it a try.

The version 1.02 or something binary is available for free.

If you want the latest then you have 2 choices - pay the $20 or downlaod the source and compile yourself - it's not difficult to do.

I guess it's time that I learn how to do this. Do I compile on the Z or cross compile on an i386 system? Is there a HOWTO written for this?

(I am confortable building packages under Linux; I just need to know how it is done for the Z.)

Thanks, but the download link on that page is broken.

Sorry about that, I didn't realize that the package link was broken. Here's a link that I just tried, and does work biggrin.gif

If one can't spend $20 to get a binary for a GPL software (!) so that the author will continue improving his software, and decide he'd rather spending 2 days of looking left and right for a link I think there's a problem.
