READ ALL OF THE HOWTO FIRST.

This was tested on win2k and winxp with the SL5500 3.13 Sharp rom
using Qtopia Desktop and will work on both a serial cable and the AIR Cable.
The version of the windows drivers for the AIR Cable do not matter,
I would prefer to use the latest from http://www.ftdichip.com/
(always use the latest hardware drivers for windows (IF THEY WORK FOR YOU)).

1. Start with my howto on serial connections [Serial sync with Qtopia Desktop]

(Disregard the SYNC section) PPPD should work at this point.

2. Now for SYNC (I have seen this on the board many times and it did not register)

Sync wants the ip address on win pc to be xxx.xxx.xxx.1(the default for PPPD for
the Z is 192.168.130.101)in windows you would change the network/internet
protocol (tcp/ip) from Obtain addresses automatically to use the following IP address
option to 192.168.130.1 for your connection. Set both Zaurus Manager and the Z to
USB - TCP/IP (advanced) and use the Z address on both (192.168.130.101).

Reboot both pc and Z (Just in case) and it should work.

If you change the IP address in /etc/sync/serial.conf to 192.168.129.201(the default PPPD IP address) and change the IP address on windows to 192.168.129.1 (see above) you could use the air cable, serial cable and USB (but not at the same time) with no changes to sync.
