Mac Connectivity
From OESF
This is a collection of OSX resources.
OSX WLAN - WLAN access; e.g. how to set up for Airport; how to get passcode from the Airport Base; Computer to Computer network
OSX USB - http://www.lucid-cake.net/osx_zaurus_usb/index_en.html
OSX SMB - http://www.lucid-cake.net/osx_zaurus_usb/index_en.html
connect Zaurus through WLAN or USB in Finder: Go/Connect Server smb://zaurus or smb://192.168.129.201 - use 'findsmb' in a Terminal Shell to find out press Ok select "home" press Ok set domain to "WORKGROUP" user id=zaurus or whatever (seems to be ignored) password = empty Ok /home/samba opens in Finder
Note that there is a bug in Finder (or Zaurus smb server?) that it does not show the size of a directory but the size of the device. Since /home/samba is mounted on the 5MB home parition of the C3000, you can't copy larger files to the Zaurus - even onto the 4GB disk.
OSX FTP - how to use FTP
OSX SSH - how to install and use openssh
On a "naked" SL-5500 with ROM 3.10:
get the openssh .ipk e.g. from www.killefiz.de access the Zaurus through [OSX SMB] copy the .ipk to Memory/Install_Files open Settings/Add Software install open-ssh server ssh to the Zaurus IP address you might have to answer yes to some security questions you might have to delete $HOME/.ssh on your host if openssh was re-installed
MacZSync - http://maczsync.sourceforge.net/ - only old ROM 2.38
KO/PI - http://www.pi-sync.net/html/ko_pi.html - replaces PIM on Zaurus
zdbat - http://yakty.s31.xrea.com/cgi-bin/wiki/linuzau/wiki.cgi?zdbat - page mostly in Japanese
