NAND Flash Backup

  1. prepare CF or SD card, FAT16, 70 MB free space for C750, 134MB for Cx60
  2. Go to Diagnostics Menu as described in "Secret" Key Combinations
  3. Reinstall external power supply (AC adapter, USB)
  4. page 3, 1: NAND Flash Back Up
  5. Answer "Execute Backup?" with OK button (CF seems default, didn't try SD myself but it has been reported to work)
  6. Patiently watch green progress bar
  7. When it says "OK", press Cancel to go back to Diagnostics Menu

Theese backups are 1:1 copies of the whole flash. They will work reliable on the same model and not at all on any other. They are good for a quick NAND Flash Restore after things went wrong. You should employ other techniques for saying your user data such as syncing PIM.
