OPIE stands for Open Palmtop Integrated Environment and it is a fork of the open-source version of Trolltech's Qtopia (The Zaurus comes with a commercial version of Qtopia).
OPIE is used as a graphical environment on iPAQs with Linux installed and by the OpenZaurus ROM. The OPIE homepage is http://opie.handhelds.org
