It's probably worth making a brief mention of Opie and GPE somewhere at this stage, because these are important points when considering which ROM to go for.

This page needs a bit more detail on where to get the latest status of these ROMs. For example, what is final status of OZ ? I think people need to know what works out of the box and what is in beta.

Is it worth putting links to the TitchyLinux page?--Tux 05:00, 5 October 2007 (EDT)

I did it!--Tux 11:08, 8 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks! I also added OpenBSD. Koan 22:36, 8 October 2007 (EDT)

This sentence was removed by There was an inbetween generation called familiar. Do you think the removal justified, would you like to restore it or expand on it and put the expanded piece in for the 'history' of embedded linux on hand-held devices. OPIE is an 'offshoot' of familiar is it not?-Tux 18:41, 13 October 2007 (EDT)

The question is: is OESF about Zaurus or the any Embedded Linux ? I think the answer is any Linux but most of us have a Zaurus. I think unless Sharp decides it is in the PDA market then sooner or later we will all be using other platforms but the same QT/GPE/pdaXrom etc. Therefore I think Familiar has a place in this Wiki. Perhaps this page is not quite right for it though. Koan 22:32, 13 October 2007 (EDT)
As this part of the Wiki is Zaurus How-to then I think it's OK to add a link to Familiar as "see also" but probably shouldn't do much more than that. Koan 01:07, 15 October 2007 (EDT)
