What applications can I use to edit any text file?
- vi - comes with the Zaurus
- (In the Sharp ROM, vi is implemented by busybox. The version that's bundled with ROM 1.31 JP is buggy: segmentation fault on regular expression operations.)
- VIM - Vi IMproved
- Pico - A more user-friendly editor
- Nano - Similar to Pico, but a little better/complex
- TinyKate - Nice free, graphical editor with syntax highlighting
- tkcEditor - Nice commercial, graphical editor with syntax highlighting
- ZEditor - GUI text editor released under GPL. "the best free editor!!!" says a ZSI commentator comparing it with tkcEditor. I agree with the assessment, but wouldn't quite put it in the class of "programmer's editor".
