well, after being there during the 5500 days, i've decided to give the 6k a go. 6000w is prefered and there IS one on ebay right now but, not sure about the user and not sure if it comes w/accessories. i do have a friend in japan but, not sure if that's the best avenue to pursue, advice is welcome.

since i don\'t run the retail ROM, i dunno remember the details but, i do remember something about the sync software. something to the effect of the old version needed to be removed b4 using newer? seach over @ dev boards...you are not alone!!!!

u will be very happy w/purchase but, as offroad said....yer mrs may not be   :wink:

p.s.- i dunno was up w/WEP either but if it makes ya feel better it doesn\'t work w/oz3.2/opie 0.9.9 either. have yet to try out vi cmd line but, no way i\'m gonna w/256 bit keys!!

so offroad and i got together tonight as well and headed out to a local php user group meeting and wound up where else? u guessed it wi-fi enabled park for yet more Z fun. offroad was kind enough to connect to the ap and fetch some ipkgs for some fonts that i was \"missing\" (just installed dunno what happened). once the packages were installed...my gui came back and we were off to the races. i was able serve up some RAM envy and we both experienced some frustration w/verizon since we were on an open node but, continued to receive interference from the pay-for service from verizon....grrrr. monopoly\'s fun....when it just a game!!!!!

the Z ownz...and zugs RAWK!!!!!

ps-road thank for a Z of a time!!!!!

we had a great time. i hope more will attend in the future. for those that missed this time around you missed out on few laughs and fun.  some of us were able to connect to others in adhoc mode and after eats offroad and i headed to a park w/open node for more Z fun.

are you guys more interested in post workday stuff or weekends?

the reason i ask is this, hopefully we can square away a regular day of the month to meet so that it\'s easier for everybody and we don\'t have to drop by here to find out when the next meeting is but, maybe just for \"where\". also, if we choose to hold meetings during the week we miss out on the input from other users in the \"surrounding area\".

thoughts r always welcome

we can kick it around next week too

something tells me that John\'s won\'t be serving up any Guinness....scratch that, just called. \'tis on tap!!! i\'m in (told ya i was easy)

this date/time works for me (i think  :roll: ). a monday huh? perfect, i\'m sure i could use a few rounds.

this isn\'t too far from bryant park and there\'s wi-fi over there. unless we are going to try to find someplace to be online AND booze.

not sure what looks good for everybody, so let\'s start getting some ideas as to when folks are around. also, let\'s start thinking about agendas as well, it might be fun to actually acheive something other than comradery with our group.

i am generally available afterwork or on weekends, any part of town is good for me.

a good number of the cities parks are \"wired\" so, on any day/night when the weather permits these could be ideal but, no booze   =  (

http://nycwireless.net is a group that i\'m just getting involved in and very excited and would certainly recommend others take a look @. they have monthly meetings.
