Hi ... do know where can I get DNS (named) and smtp?  and firewall too?  

For DNS ... I know one way is to use no-ip. But if there is a "named" ... that would be nice.

I am thinking if we can make our little 5600 into a tiny server?
I have trouble finding smtp relay and named for Z. Any advice?
Which ROM is good for this?

I would like to host my tiny server ...

i tried replacing the kernel with special Kernel 14d from Tetsu site, but oz is complaining that it expects the 3.5.3 kernel  !!  Gosh!!  

Can someone help?

RAM doesn't apply for you as the 5600 does not come with a RAM-disk, root is the flash memory built into your Z.

You can also use 'cf' for cf cards and 'sd' for sd cards.

root /
home /home
and
SD /media/card

I tried to use home and SD.
some packages (eg stunnel) needs to be installed twice as it cant find the appropriate links at 1st go.
Run ipkg-link and install again ... so far so good!

make sure this feed is in your feed list (/etc/ipkg.conf) and don't forgett to add your machine feed as explained here http://openzaurus.org/wordpress/2005/04/23/machine-feeds/

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this. But I am having problems installing minimo.
I get the following errors

libstdc++6: unsatisfied recommendation for kernel-module-usbdserial

Nothing to be done

and it seems that the main menu's (for ROM upgrade) ... format, Check ... does not work for OZ??

So I have to manually dele /home entries for the 5600, which has some files from the last ROM.


Found out about ipkg-link. Interesting!

So I guess the package manage by default can only install on to root, rite?
If i do it manually, I can specify it to /mnt/card ... and use ipkg-ling to manually link it to root. Am I right?

How do I specify in the package manager where my install destination should be? In the sharp ROM, I can choose RAM or my SD.

Besides that, if I use ipkg, can I specify it too?
