Storing a Gemini?
« on: February 10, 2020, 10:19:08 am »
Hi guys,

So I got my Cosmo a few months ago and the Gem has been put on the
bench to serve as my back-up phone.

I'd just turned the Gem off, so it hasn't been running the battery down,
but maybe that's not the best long term storage solution?

I'm also not an expert in lithium ion battery technology to know
what would be the best way to store my Gem with it's built-in, custom
irreplacable battery.

Anyone have any insights?  Maybe it would be better to plug it in?
Keep it powered off?  Power it on?   Let it fullly totaly discharge?
Cycle the battery?

FWIW, from a full charge and fully off, it appears it took well over a
month to discharge to 15% left (now).

Thoughts?

Thanks!

The best for Li-ion battery storage is to keep it at 50% of charge. Definitelly not fully charged or discharged. So if you want the best for Gemini, discharge the battery to 50%, disassemble it and physically disconnect the battery
