Anton's done good in the past so I think it is good to let him finish it to where he wants to release it.  I know these machines are in desparate need for a good stable english rom, but please respect the man's work.

- Please take all the time you need, maslovsky.  I personally am doing okay with what I have, and I really don't like going to all the trouble to ensure data recoverability, flash, check out, re-install, blah, blah, blah, just to find out the ROM's unstable.
- I also do development for a living.  I know what a bugger it can be.  You do what you have to do and this freeloader will be happy as a clam to sit back until you're good and ready.
- I'm just going to try this when you are good and ready, that's all.  (wide grin)  Sling on...

perhaps the only thing holding me back from upgrading from 860 to 3100 is cacko release...
so in a strange way I don't want Anton to finish, as it's saving me money!!!

I'm in the exact same boat....my 760 won't show it's handicap (garbled sound) until it starts getting cold so I don't mind waiting for a stable cacko rom.

What will you do with your 760 when you get a 3100 (assuming that there's no unexpected new model)? I was going to try out OZ on it, as once I've got a spare Z, there's scope to experiment. I still have my Palm T3, and it's predecessor a Sony Clie, each one should have rendered the previous one surplus, and ebay-able, but somehow I just can't part with my old gadgets :-(

Though off topic,

I will probably use the 760 as my server and free up the 6000 for other stuff.  I may decide to run pdaxrom for the server install.  If the 6000 is freed up I will buy a piel frama case and I may sell the expansion sled to mickeyl.

The 6000 does not cut it for me as a pda.  The clamshell keyboard has spoiled me so I will either wait for 3100 cacko rom or wait for the next Z.

I have a SL-C3100 handy, and so far it's been the guinea pig for a couple OZ pre-3.5.4 attempts, a bit of 2.6 kernel testing, and the like.   If you have any Borzoi related issues to explore .. don't hesitate to knock on my "door" as it were.

Hi All,

Who has managed to upload a "Wallpaper" onto the C3100 as a background image using the "Appearance" utility in Settings?

I tried this over the weekend on a C3100 device driven by the Cacko 1.23b ROM, and the machine just hung. Once you thick the "Wallpaper" checkbox, choose an  image file using the browser and select "OK" nothing happens. The "Appearance" Design pane will only close if no Wallpaper is selected.

Further, I wasn't able to play MP3 files stored in /hdd3/Documents/Music_Files using the "Music Player". It simply couldn't find the files although they were definitely in the file system. I could only get the Music Player to work with files stored on an SD and CF cards.

Any clues?

Maslovsky, are you also trying to get the Belkin bluettooth card to work on the C3100?

By the way: thank you very much for all the work on the Cacko Rom: I am an absolute Zaurus newbie - but as far as I have seen, that Cacko Rom is the best upgrade one can have for the Zaurus!

Belkin bluetooth card is supposed to be working. If you have such card, let me know, you'll get to test it.
