Where Can I Find .tgz Versions Of The Pdaxqtrom

Hey All,

Question #1
Does anyone know where I might find tarball versions (.tgz) of the pdaxqtrom Zgcc, Java, Games, and Dictionaries images?  Or as an alternative a complete list of the programs that when combined make up the images themselves in .ipk format?

Question #2
Is it possible to install the decompressed .tgz images that are available (base, apps, and OpenOffice) and then later (or at the same time) install the cramfs/squashfs versions of the other images as a performance compromise if I cannot get a good answer to Question #1?  It seems like I read somewhere when I set up the X/Qt system on my old microdrive last year that you couldn't mix and match the image types...you had to use all cramfs, or all squashfs etc.

If question #1 and #2 end up unresolved  does anyone know of a practical way to extract the file system with links and dependencies etc. intact and still working from a squashfs/cramfs image?

I've read that most of the setup/install scripts for this are made for pdaxqtrom and debian pocketworkstation to be located in /hdd3.  In my case I have about a 6gb partition set aside that is formatted ext2 and mounted as /hdd4.  Any insight into avoiding huge problems because of this would be appreciated.

The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to wring as much performance out of my c3100 as possible.  I've recently replaced my 6gb Hitachi Microdrive that I've used for about a year now with an 8gb Sandisk Ultra II card. I've just reflashed with Cacko and am in the process of trying to install the entire pdaxqtrom jumbo and Debian pocketworkstation jumbo files in non-compressed, non-loopback versions so as to avoid the performance hit they incur now that space is not so much a problem for me.  So if at all possible I'm trying to use the tarballed version of each image rather than the cramfs or squashfs images to accomplish this.

Thanks so much for your help with this, your time and effort that you put into answering are valuable to me and I know that most of us have very little of it to spare especially at this time of year! So you have my sincere thanks.

Thanks, that knocks out games and Zgcc and gets me part of the way there. I feel a bit dumb about both as I had already browsed every directory on bams tree before posting this, I don't know how I missed either.

I'm still in need of the un-cramfs/squashfs images of Dictionaries and Java. I noticed that in Bam's tree there is a directory with SOME of the java files but apparently not all of those that Meanie says (on his mirrored site) are contained in the java image.
