Anyone worked out why the HDMI port works with some projectors / screens and not others. One of the key reasons to buy mine was the ability to present using it rather than dragging a laptop everywhere with me. However only one screen I've tried to connect it to so far has worked and even then I had to reboot the second time I used it because it didn't see the screen that it had seen two days previously.
Advice welcome...
Thanks, Jamie.

I've had better success using an HDMI->VGA adapter than trying to get an HDMI direct connection. You're not the only one having problems: see also https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35104 (https://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=35104); I've also made some notes about my experience with HDMI at http://jdcard.com/LivingWithGemini.html (http://jdcard.com/LivingWithGemini.html).

I also use K9 on my Gemini. The scrolling is not so relevant for me since you can easily scroll through a mail using the touch screen. Another issue is that you cannot directly answer a mail in reading mode. The answer function is somehow hidden in landscape display. To answer a mail, you have to leave reading mode and go back to the message list. It somehow works but is a little bit less convenient. In general, I'm quite satisfied with my Gemini. However, I do not use it as my only mobile device to sompletely replace my smartphone. As a smartphone, I will keep using a Blackberry. The Gemini is rather for travelling to relieve me from the need to carry a laptop. You can indeed do a lot of things on the Gemini you cannot do this way on a smartphone. Most disappointing point for me is the poor support of external monitors and projectors. One intention to buy a Gemini was to use it as a presentation machine at meetings, conferences, etc. Unfortunately, this doesn't work.

I've also had issues with the HDMI adaptor. I've had much more luck with a DisplayLink usb-HDMI adaptor.

The answer function in K9 is present in landscape mode when reading an email - it's just hidden away: select the 'three vertical dots' menu from the top bar, then choose 'Send'. This gives options to Reply, Reply all, Forward and Share. This is the standard K9 landscape UI - it's not specific to Gemini.
I hope that helps

@Pete
Thanks for the hint. I had already tried the three dots but then thought that 'send' means to send a new mail. So, I never tried it. Now, I do no longer see any limitations in using K9 on the Gemini.

Right, I haven't received my accessories yet, so I have not tried the HDMI cable,
Nevertheless, one of my main reasons for having a Gemini was indeed to show presentations.
The Good Old Psion netBook could already show presentations (with the VGA card) without any issues.

Concerning the presentation : It is worth checking whether the projector you'll be using supports wireless LAN interface. At work we have a set of wireless-enabled EPSON projectors and for these the «iProjection» app from EPSON worked beautifully. You can mirror screen, present PDF, or show images, without any need for wires and their mess.

Once a year, I provide a course for a customer who has a MS surface hub in the lecture room. For presentation, it connects via wireless LAN with Windows laptops. Would this also work with Gemini? Would be really great.
