Sticky-notes-like Application
« on: March 09, 2007, 10:01:56 am »
Hi guys,

does anyone know an application like sticky-notes, which does work well with the Matchbox panel? I had installed sticky notes once, but its tray icon was placed somewhere on the desktop instead in the panel.

Thanks
daniel

Have you try xpad, which I compiled quite a while ago? It should be in the contrib feed or package announcement thread. It can be docked in KDE, but no sure about matchbox.

there's a package called "note" that contains a sticky notes application designed for rox desktop, but I think it will work also in pure matchbox setups

Any idea where to find that package? I have searched the main feeds and google, but did not find it.

xpad is nice, and almost fits my needs.
However, the panel icon has a white background instead of transparent, which makes the icon look quite ugly on my blue panel...
I have looked at the three icon files included in the xpad IPK, but they all have transparent background. So I assume that somehow xpad itself draws the background white.

Does anyone have experiences with such problems?
