[WANTED] Zaurus for Development
« on: April 12, 2022, 04:12:10 am »
Hi Zaurus folks,

I am looking for donations of working Cxx00 models for modding and kernel testing.
At the moment I got only a single C3100 and do worry it may fail eventually.
A C3200 and/or C1000 would help the effort to keep maintaining a kernel for these.
Other types I have interest in as well, but possibly not the time work on.
If you want your unused Zaurus to end up in good hands. Let me know.
Happy to pay for international shipping via Paypal.

Cheers,
Greguu

What is a "Global Moderator"?

At this time I do not have any Zaurus devices to donate.  I recently did acquire an inexpensive C-750 and I previously used an SL-6000 extensively.

I hope to become active in the forum again, and at some point hope to find an ideal environment for both devices, for development, as well as general varied uses.

It is unclear if any of the OS(es) that I used to use are still available on the web, as in the last two days I just resumed my Zaurus and LINUX activities, after many years of not doing so. :)

Perhaps at some point I will be willing to trade my original spare SL-6000, but not at this time.

Best Wishes, with your efforts and everything else, John

Hi John,

just hang onto these. I will not try to rob you of your SL-6000 or C-750.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are about to toss these into the bin, then please consider donating instead.

Cheers!

@greguu
Thanks for your contribution for ArchLinux for C3x00 device. It is very excellent. I have 3 zaurus (C700, C1000 and C3200, not include battery) that can donate to you for development. Could you please send your information to me and then I can send them to you.
Please reply me before December 1, 2022. Thanks

Just out of courtesy, I want to give big thanks to Steward-Fu for the generous donation I received late last year!
