GNU Robbo for Zaurus (ARM)
A port of Arkadiusz Lipiec's Linux desktop game which can be located here - http://gnurobbo.sourceforge.net. I have tested this port on my SL5500. cybersphinx from the Zaurus User Group has tested it on his C Series. It should also work on the SL5000, SL5600 and SL6000.

Installation:
IPK
- 1. Download the latest ipk and install it using the Add/Remove Software application.
Tarball
- 1. Download the latest tarball and upload it to your Zaurus into /home/zaurus or somewhere similar.
- 2. Open the terminal on the Zaurus and 'cd' to the folder containing the tarball.
- 3. Type 'tar -xzvf gnurobbo*zaurus.tar.gz' to extract the game.
- 4. Type 'cd gnurobbo*zaurus' and then './gnurobbo --help' for options and key commands.
- 5. Type './gnurobbo' to play the game and enjoy.
Instructions:

You can play this using both thumbs like a Gameboy or with just one thumb i.e. holding the Zaurus in your palm while playing the game with your free hand. To facilitate one handed play the shoot button is a toggle. After you've pressed the shoot button (default SPACE) the shoot light will appear on the scoreline:

Now when you press up/down/left/right you will shoot in that direction. After you've finished shooting press the shoot button again to return to walk mode:

This toggling feature can be turned off in the options screen. You can also choose which button you use for shooting: CANCEL, SPACE, HOME or the OK key.
The game speed can be adjusted depending on how you like to play.
Running via the Terminal:
There are some command line options available:
- -240x320 Screen mode suitable for the SL5X00 (default).
- -640x480 Screen mode suitable for the C Series.
- -480x640 Screen mode suitable for the SL6000.
- -maxfps Maximise the screen updates for testing the frames per second (fps).
Command line options override saved resource file settings.
Downloading:
IPKs (Many many thanks to Greg2 at the Zaurus User Group for creating the ipks.)
NOTE: Due to the limitations of this host I have had to rename the .ipk to .ipk.tar.gz, so just remove the .tar.gz from the end!
Binary tarballs
Source tarballs
Requirements:
libSDL_1.2.6cvs-1_arm.ipk. This is the version I used but there may be newer ones.
Compiling the Source:
Read this -> COMPILING.
You will need the SDL headers - SDL-dev-1.2.6cvs.tar.gz. Extract to /opt/Qtopia/sharp/.

P.S.
Yes I know the adverts on this site are annoying but it's free and I'm skint ;-) The (nasty) green sponsored links embedded in the text are added by this host. I'm currently setting up a sourceforge account and hope to move really soon.
