Would be gerat to have it in new Zaurus model - the new drive is smaller and lighter.

is this, or another version thereof, going to fit a cf slot?
-
My bet is they wont do a CF version so peoples dont open they new device to rip off the HD, and use it somewhere else.
Its Embedded you so actually have to buy a device with it.
Well IMO
This is really great !

Well, they mention different possible interfaces, so I'm sure it could be connected somehow to the Z

There are all kinds of possiblities It looks like they will initially have versions with an ATA interface so you could use a USB/ATA bridge chip and have something that works on an SL-3000 or SL-6000. Of course consumer availability may be a bit of a problem ... you're not going to find this on the shelf at CompUSA unless it's embedded in another device.
I think they'd be foolish not to create a CF version for the high end digital photography market, but I suspect that may be a few years down the road.
I wonder what Seagate has lined up to compete with this? We're supposed to see retail versions of Seagate's 5GB CF drive later this year (priced at around $150). I'd dearly love to see them follow that up with a 10GB version

and of course.... while we sort the hardware out... the price of 4g microdrives should fall....
