Title: Alertusbstorage
Post by: cybernetseraph on February 02, 2005, 07:12:30 am
I've been trying to use my 3000 as a usb storage device, in the settings menu i set it to be a usb drive

However, when i try this under window (at uni or on my windows boot) it asppears , but when i click on the icon i get a dialogue asking for me to insert a disk

and on the x i get a dialo0ge saying "error

alertUSBstorageConnection"

and an ok box, clicking on the yes or the no does nothing and sometimes another similar box pops up with jsut an ok.

on my lin ux box i intent to set up usb networking (not yet) but i need it to work like this for uni, as i cannot install software, so can't getteh synch working (wel i need file transfer to the HD) Did anyone else have this problem? and how do i solve it, it's incredibly irritating

Thanks for any help

your problem and its "solution" are described in the thread C3000 Issues / Solutions (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8846)

i find that usb mass storage does not work really fine with another linux box. But the usbnet works everytime.
