I installed opie-sh (to /mnt/ram) and did ipkg-link. The opie-sh tab shows up now, along with opie-sh-howto, but opie-sh-howto doesn't run (the busy indicator appears, then disappears), nor does my opie-sh-snes script, installed via the ipk. I think this is a problem with opie-sh, but nobody else seems to have a problem with it, as I can't find any help on the forum.
The error message (from the terminal)
opie-sh-howto.sh: 18: opie-sh: not found
SNES9X works fine, now if only I can get this opie-sh thing worked out, I can have some serious fun

Did you ipkg-link it?
If not that, you might try downloading it again.

Already tried ipkg-link, then uninstalled, re-downloaded, re-installed, and re-linked opie-sh. Still nothing. Wierd huh? All I get is "opie-sh-howto.sh: 18: opie-sh: not found"
What is happening is really surreal and vague, but I have had the same sort of problems with other packages before, almost as if some part of the system got changed at some point between the last time I flashed or reset and now. (See the earlier thread "Opie Connectivity and Installation Woes: I wish I had a WiFi card). In that case, too, ipkg seemed to have some sort of problem with installing things, which cleared up when I reflashed. I could try installing other things and see if they work...if not then...
Perhaps if I reflash again...
As much as I hate to do that, I may have to try it.

Sorry for reading right passed your first "And I ipkg-link'ed it".
Do you have the service release installed?
Goto the command line and type in:
opie-sh
Do you get a bunch of how-to stuff back?
if that fails, try
/opt/QtPalmtop/bin/opie-sh
If the second one works, and the first one didnt, it is probably because you dont have /opt/QtPalmtop/bin in your path. You can either add it by hand in /etc/profile, or just install the Service Release out of Upgrades.
It is always possible that it is just the Opie-SH Howto that isnt working.

Checking....It worked! Thanks a bunch. This is good to know information for those of us who don't understand the Linux filesystem very well.
