Title: Hello! New Sl-c3k Owner

Hey everyone!

  I ended up with this sweet machine from a raffle at the Linux World Expo in Boston, MA today... (some luck huh?) I turn in on to find out it's in japanese...  ...
so I check some stuff out...  change it into some half-engrish, quasi-usable mode. and now attempting to start tweaking it a bit... are there any other OS'es that you can install on this? or... is there a rom out there that makes things a tad easier to edit?
any or all information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What do you mean by half-english, quasi-usable mode?

It's really easy to convert the C3000 to full english. The are great instructions at conics.net:
