Title: Qtopia desktop
Post by: malkist on January 13, 2004, 01:21:35 pm
Where can I download Qtopia Desktop for c760? I can\'t find it on the CDROM and other versions don\'t seem to work.

Thanks.

Well, \'m assuming that it uses the same one as everyone else, in which case, so here ----] ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qtopia/desktop (http://ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qtopia/desktop)

That version will not work with the latest Sharp ROMs on these models as the PIM and sync engine is different from Trolltech\'s. The only way this would work is if your installed the OpenZaurus ROM, but I thought that was still in the early beta stage for the C760, if not the alpha stage.

Have you tried the QtopiaDesktop Sharp provides for the SL-5500:
http://www.myzaurus.com/lic560v132s.asp (http://www.myzaurus.com/lic560v132s.asp) ? (31MB)

The version that works with Sharp\'s latest ROMs (and the custom ROMs based on these Sharp ROMs) has only been released for Windows.

Since the C760 is a Japanese product and Qtopia Desktop is closed source I don\'t think there is an english version of Qtopia Desktop that will work with the C760 since. I cannot find any file that defines the version expected either.

AFAICT that\'s only for Intellisync, which requires a the full Outlook to sync with.
