Title: Tmpfs, Where Does It Write To?

I would like to know that when a application writes to the default tmp directory (/var), where does it write to, is it to the flash memory(which has a limited read write cycle) or the ram?

I would like to know how to use OZ in order to minimise the writes to the flash memory?
