Title: Kismet.conf Settings
Post by: pucho on February 23, 2005, 11:24:43 am
What is correct values for cardtype and interface for
Linksys WCP12 CF card in source line of /usr/local/etc/kismet.conf?

For Example:
"source=cardtype, interface,name"

My PDA is Zaurus 5600, Sharp ROM verion 1.00 V and Linksys WCP12 CF card.
I am using latest version of Kismet from:
http://www.kismetwireless.net/code/kismet-...-R1b-arm.tar.gz (http://www.kismetwireless.net/code/kismet-2005-01-R1b-arm.tar.gz)

Are there other configuration changes required to run Kismet?
How can kismet.conf be edited in terminal? The file is owned by root.
Any clues appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Delete kismet and use Wellenreiter, download the program with libs from the zug downloads, then replace the Wellenreiter with the wellenreiter from the cacko feed.
Follow the install instructions, then create a dummy connection. execute Wellenreiter and autodetect your wifi card.
And Thats all.

Easy!!!
It worked for me.
I have a C700.
