Hi.
I like liquid style, but buttons are very wide. Can I change style configuration ?
Thanks for your time

I'm trying to rewrite something on my zaurus and make liquid work...
Actually, the gradients you see in the tabs is not a bitmap or png. I will need to write some sort of instructions to tell the tabs to use a liquid png in 4 sets actually. gona be a big homework for me since i am new at this.

any chance in sending over whatever nfo you have on "theme-ing" the sl-cXXX series, I am looking to convert some ZLauncher(from palm) themes to this.
Thanks,
Bam
PS of course any nfo I find out or whatever themes I come up with I will send over to you if you want to host the files, better to have one place as a repository.

I know for the SL-5x00 series, ZStyle had a not too bad Liquid theme.
I don't know if it's possible, but maybe you can get some input from looking at that theme.

I have the software from my old sl5500. I stoped using it due to incompatability reasons related to some softwares but its not related to the tabs. Just the window managers caused some software to act a little funky but i did have the option to disable it per program which i thought it was cool. I just stoped using it.
yeah, ill have a look at it and ill be replacing some stuff. Right now, im reading up on some progresses on other software and also registering for school. Ill start on that liquid theme project next week as soon as i get over why i can't get my classes for this coming semester.

An aside to the Liquid thread, what is this "steel theme" you have on your SL-5500?
-
it uses steel icons and steel background on an sl 5500. i havent finished the ipk yet but its done on the 5500 well....sort of. I also have 4 more for the sl5500 which look pretty cool but its missing just a few more icons which i havent bothered to finish. Ill probably have 5 total up by this weekend before i start school and maybee work them over to the c series as well.
The only problem i am having at the moment is figuring out which background to use. Silver background or a rust metal or gunmetal. I am thinking of gunmetal since the icons are silver.
i also fixed the ipk for the oslinus. It had a smal problem.

Sounds great.
You might think about a coarse brushed metal look. That may actually look good in front of the OSLinux icons so they don't get lost in the background design.
Hmmm....
Installed your new OSLinux today. Thanks.

Any luck on the new themes for your site?
-
not yet.
I just updated the section for 640x640. It has around 14 new backgrounds that works on the zaurus. Viewable portrait or landscape. I do update it but it is so small you can barely notice it. I do slight updates on it once a week.
As of the themes. i do have 5 ready but it doesnt have an extra so it blows if you have a bunch of custom software installed. Im looking or making aditional icons for them and must match the theme of course. I just havent finished the few icons it needs.
-
Sounds great...and a lot of work.
Your work is appreciated by all, if you hadn't noticed.
Are you creating these by hand, or just modifying existing icons?
-
most are done by by others but a few are redone by me. I try to make the icons fit the themes as best as possible.
