Is there anybody out there using Qtopia Desktop for OSX? I'm syncing from my Z to it using my wireless card, and can't get the datebook entries to keep the correct time. Even though my Zaurus, Linux box at work, and Mac all have the same locale's set in Qtopia Desktop, the mac screws it up.
Anything set for my timezone (Montreal) shows up in GMT on the mac, and not in EST. To make matters worse, qtopia deletes the timezone entry for these newly synced entries.
I've got OSX 10.3.8, Qtopia 1.7.

well, you're not the only one having problems with the time settings on QtopiaDesktop. I also have to fight with that; all my datebook entries on zaurus are transfered one hour decalated on the desktop and when synchronizing again they are trasnfered back to the zaurus with the wrong time so that I get the same appointment with 2 different times on my PDA.
hope the new qtopia desktop will change the situation.

I think I've got a solution to this for everyone. Right now I've got a script that will dump the Zaurus address book into an ldif file (for doing ldap work). I'm almost done another script that will update the ldap server with entries/insert them where necessary.
I'm working on another script to get the Zaurus to author ical entries (not sync). My logic is that I can happily use the Zaurus for everything, then author to my mac. While it isn't perfect, it'll work really well.
In fact, I use vnc at work to enter datebook entries on the Z, so the push idea would work perfectly.

there are also some small programs from a japanese guy which can sync between mac and zaurus (however the MI series which I think don't have linux). Soft is called Zsync or so and apparently it was working; may be you could only change something to make it run.
