When I have a program open and rotate it to portrait mode it works fine but as soon as i try to rotate it back to landscape it gives me some error and resets itself...
:?

I tested Kino2 and ZReader and both had this problem...
I dont think any other app had this problem.

I\'ve observed this behavior with the 1.18 cacko rom as well as the current one, on any app that resizes the screen. The way to prevent this from forcing a reboot of your zaurus, or at least the way I do it, is to make sure that you never resize from 320X240 to 640X480 with the screen in portrait mode, ie when the screen is rotated facing outward and folded flat against the zaurus.

I had the same problem. I fixed it (it appears) by re-installing the ROM
and then formating the user flash (option 3 in japanese \'OK\' menu).
The reason I did not do that initially was that cacko installer (neat gui
installer with options) seemed to indicate that it handled formating itself
- maybe it does or is supposed to - i\'m not sure. But after doing option
3 japanese menu format it seems like the rotation problem is gone.
BTW, what was the message you got when the machine rebooted?
In my case it was something about ppp_compress module not being
found (which probably had something to do with the fact that
i previously used pppd for gprs - still don\'t know why it\'s looking
for this module or if error message may be indication of some other
unrelated problem).

I have the problem too. Just got my 860 and put the cacko rom on today. The workaround above (not resizing to 640x480 when in landscape) works. Hopefully this will get fixed in a later effort. Overall I love the cacko qtopia rom.
