Bought the Aircable bluetooth device from shirtpocket.com, and I\'m having trouble getting it to stay connected to my Ericsson t610. To connect, I have to delete an original pairing with my Zaurus c860, and establish a brand new pairing. Then it will only let me surf the net for a couple of minutes, until I am no longer tranfering any data. then it locks out, and I have to reset the pairing again.
Can anyone sort out my problem?

under /etc/ppp/peers edit the file Dialupxxxx... which corresponds to the network setting you have created for the Aircable connection and add a line
\"idle 100\" (without quotes)
this will prevent it from timing out due to idle time. You may change the 100 to whatever suits you best.
I don\'t understand why you have to delete the pairing. Once a paired device is created, it should work fine evetrytime, unless you have another device to which you have paired it. At least that the way it works for me.

Thanks, that worked great! What does the 100 actually mean then? 100 secs? Mins????
Also, now I disconnect the connection properly, I dont have to turn off my mobile anymore. I still have to delete the Zaurus pairing on my mobile before reconnecting though.

Used to get the same problem with pairing having to be deleted with the T68i.
Problem was fixed by removing the pairing on the Aircable as well.
You do this by pressing the reset pin and keeping it pressed for 5 seconds.
After that, remove and replug Aircable back in. Not sure if you need that bit.
Delete any pairing on the phone as well, and then pair again. Make sure you use Phone Accepts and not Phone initiates.
Don\'t actually have a 610, but as they are both SE and I had the same problem, chances are it is the same thing.
Another option if all else fails is to simply bin the pairing on the phone side all together. This works on the T68i, not sure if ption is available on the 610.
Instead of pairing, just set phone to discoverable then when you get the options to Accept or Accept and pair choose the first one.
It means entering 1234 everytime, but less hassle than deleting pairing.
Let me know how it goes.

I\'ve just received my AirCable today and managed to get it dialled up just fine (once I found out that you have to talk to it at 115200 with no flow control - I\'m sure it\'s documented somewhere but my usual method is fiddle till it works) - the only slight hangup is I have to re-accept a Pairing from the AirCable each time; the phone asks for the PIN to re-setup the Pairing and I\'m not sure why.
It\'s a 6310i, and I have set it to allow the AirCable to connect without authorisation. It\'s not a huge deal, but it\'d be nice to fix.
