I just got a case at CompUSA that was meant for a Tapwave Zodiac, but fits the C3000 perfectly:
See here (http://store.tapwave.com/product.asp?sku=2423882).

Has an outer pocket, as well as a couple of inner slots too.  Belt clip also.

I actually tried getting a PDAir case, but can't find them in stock right now anywhere.  Hence the Tapwave case.

ArchiMark,

What do you think. Is the PDAIR case worth using ?

To my mind the case doesn't exclude dust/pocket fluff from reaching the case as it doesn't provide a cover for the edges of the screen. It might offer some benefits if you want to use your Z in portrait mode though.

Does it offer any corner knock protection?

I presume that with the case the Z is just that little too big to fit into a suit chest pocket. If I wanted to carry it around like that is the case a no-no?

Personally I tend to carry the Z in my suit pocket without the case when in Business mode and when I'm in casual mode I use a Neoprene pouch... from www.thepouch.co.uk.

I can't conceive of making the thing as big as a standard Filofax... it certainly looks like one when its in that case.

What's your opinion on these points ?

(Oh and I HATE magnetic clasps - I LIKE mechanical watches - which don't like magnets).

Hi Andy,

Well, I suppose it depends on what you're expecting..

As you say, it won't completely keep your Z clean since the sides are open. However, I keep my Z closed when it's in the case unless I'm using it. So I don't think it will get much dust, etc in it.

I think it does offer some corner knock protection, but is not a perfect solution for this.

As for fitting in a shirt pocket, it's probably a bit too big/thick for that unless you have some big pockets.

Don't think it's as big as a standard filofax.....but it is thick...

Yes, it has magnetic latch, so that be a deal-breaker for you...

Not the perfect solution, but think it's one of the better ones available at this point. Was using a Targus universal PDA zippered case before. But that was even a bit larger, although fully enclosed....

HTH,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

The only thing that I find appealing about this kind of case is when they offer good protection for the screen so you can just open it up and get immediate access to your info whilst on the move.

I think I'm going to stick with my Neoprene case/suit jacket pocket solution.
