Looked on the site - but I can't find any mention of this, I bought a new SD card 1GB Peak Ultra, I've got a normal 512 SD card that works fine - however this new one I cannot get the Z to mount - manually or automaticly.
I guess its the ultra 4 channel thing that causing the prob - any ideas ..?

- I don't have a dir /proc/partitions - where would I find dmesg?

You certainly should have a file called /proc/partitions and dmesg is a standard Linux command that displays kernel ring buffer messages.
What Zaurus and ROM are you using ?

OK, if you bought the card for the Z and you can feasibly exchange it then I would suggest doing so for a different model (preferrably different manufacturer)
If you perform a search on these forums (try the misspelled 'responce' keyword) you will find the indication that some of the cards knocking around do not handle some of the SD commands that the driver is using and will never work correctly in the Z.
The url shown..

Is in japanese but you can pass it through babelfish.altavista.com for a translation and lists known tested cards. Additional ones may work.

Hello,
I have another Sd card problem. I'm only into small MB cards at the moment. I have a SL5600 with the 1.32 ROM version. I purchased a Kingston 64MB SD Card. When I insert it in the Zaurus and run the Calendar function, it appears to lock up. After sometime (about 15-30 seconds) it comes around but very sluggish. On the files side, the file system on the SD card has what is on the 32MB compact flash card (out of a Kodak camera) documents .. etc. If I try to open this folder nothing happens. If you click on the files tab it show the folder twice but never opens. Install_Files does the same thing. There is a folder called 'Palm', it opens and has a folder inside it called 'Launcher'. I don't know where this comes from.
If any one can give me some advice, I would sure appreciate it
thanks
