Post by: dvgnx on March 16, 2005, 04:56:53 pm
Hello everybody,

I'm trying to put jmap on my sl-c3K but ... nothing !

http://www.mcgods.de/z/jmap.php (http://www.mcgods.de/z/jmap.php)

I think this is a very good software to display maps

Any ideas ?

It's going to be somewhat dependent upon the JVM that you have installed.

Note that the SL-C3000 doesn't ship with a license to run either of the current ones (Jeode or PersonalProfile) shipped with earlier Zaurus models so you would need to buy one or compile something like Kaffe and hope it provides all the features you need.

After having installed Java, jmap runs. But it runs very slow on the SL-C3000. And I don't know why, perhaps it's the 4 times larger screen.

I don't use it any more, I think ImagePad can be used much better for map viewing because it's much faster.

- What, pray tell, did you install as "Java"?  Does Sun have a distro for the Cx000??  (wink)
