Title: Socket Bluetooth And Powerbook
Post by: keef on March 25, 2005, 07:55:28 am
Hi

I have installed Bluez drivers and other packages recomended in the how-to.
I can pair the zaurus with the Powerbook but if I try and browse the Zaurus
from the Powerbook I get: no services are available.

I have set up a network connection Pan -TCP/IP using the network program.
Not sure which IP address to enter in the preferences.
Also the link_key file seems to contain mainly square boxes rather than text or numbers.

Thanks for any info.

You have to start sdpd to enable services on your zaurus and learn how to use sdptool and pand/dund too. There are man pages with the tools on x86 boxes with BlueZ and lots of howtos at http://www.bluez.org (http://www.bluez.org) .

You need to enter the IP address that your Powerbook will see your Zaurus as in the PAN applet. It doesn't currently automatically assign one using DHCP.

The link_key file is a binary file that stores the security keys used to authenticate paired devices. You shouldn't need to edit that file.
