I'm looking for this battery
http://www.trowcom.co.uk/questbattery.htm (http://www.trowcom.co.uk/questbattery.htm)
for my 5500. It's a 6v, 4100mAh battery that comes in a belt clip pack with an external charger. The vendor's web site is up but not accepting on-line purchases.
If you know where I can get this battery or one comparable in the US, please tell me.

You need the 5v version. According to the original website, these are customizable so you have to make sure the voltage and polarity are correct before plugging one into your Z.
Other than that it looks like a nice unit.

Doh! Of course, you're right. Thanks for pointing that out.

Back to the original question: does anyone know where one can find these types of batteries that can be purchased or delivered to US (in my case for sl-c860)?
Thanks for any info/links.

To answer my own question - I ordered mobile power pack from socketstore
http://www.socketcom.com/product/AC4009-541.asp (http://www.socketcom.com/product/AC4009-541.asp)
and after a couple of days of use I can already say this is the most usefull accessory I have ever purchased (works with all types of phones, pdas, psp, etc). Im now really upset I did not buy this 2 years ago as it would have let me enjoy Z much more often.

So, does it fit Zaurus AC connector?

It fits my c860 perfectly (I assume other Z's are all the same?). It comes with several extra connectors in case it does not fit some device but the default one works. The ordering/notification/delivery from socketstore was also very professional and quick (couple of days in US using standard delivery).

Cool, thanks

Sweet! I found it for about $116 including shipping on amazon.com. I expect mine within the week.

The battery arrived on Monday. I ran my Zaurus at work all day Tuesday, a bit on Tuesday night, and most of today before the battery's amber low voltage indicator began to blink. I'm satisfied.

the Playstation Portable (PSP) uses the same power source as the Zaurus..
there is another thread here: https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11839&hl=psp (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11839&hl=psp)
that talks about using the $17 PSP PowerBrick with the Zaurus..
the good news is you can proably find one locally..
The car adapters and other battery packs for the PSP should also work with the Zaurus
