No can do. That trick worked on the 5x00 series Zaurii because they didn't have any user accessible flash memory. For example - the 5500 had 64mb of RAM, split in half for use as 32mb "Ram" and 32mb "Storage". If you let your battery die you lost all your data.

The C700 has 32mb of RAM, and 64?mb Flash. Your 32mb is all the ram you have, and all your data is stored on the Flash. You can't increase your ram in the C700 at all.

You can make a swap file, but making a swap file in your internal flash is a *bad* idea. Plus swap is a lot slower than ram anyway.

All I can tell you is that your Z has 32mb of RAM, and 64mb of flash memory. No amount of messing with SD cards will change that.

You may have seen a flash image for an older Z model, like the 5x00 I mentioned earlier.

I think you are mistaken. Your Zaurus works just like a PC:

Internal Flash is internal storage, like a hard-drive in your PC
External Flash is external storage like a USB-Stick or a CD-RW.

Applications (including your operating-system) are loaded form storage into RAM. It doesn't matter if you load Cacko from internal or external storage! Your amount of free RAM will be the same.

Your PC has almost unlimited RAM, because the operating system moves currently unneeded programms from RAM to your harddisk. This is called swaping.  Through swapping, your PC has allways free RAM.

You can do the same with your Zaurus and create a swap-File on your storage. But, be warned: Flash can be ruined by too many write operations!
Therefor, create your swap-file on your SD-Card wich can be replaced. Also, many SD-Cards have Lifelong warranty - your internal storage has ony 1 year.
