Hey All,
I was wondering if there are any applications available for under/overclocking the SL5500? I have noticed some apps available for the newer models, but nothing for the 5500. Any suggestions? I'm hoping to underclock a bit to improve battery life when needed.
Thanks!

What you (most likely) want is [a href=\"http://ingo.exphysik.uni-leipzig.de/~useidel/projekte/qoverclock_0.1b_arm.ipk]Qoverclock[/url] which can be found here (http://ingo.exphysik.uni-leipzig.de/~useidel/projekte/eigzauruslnx.htm). This does exactly what you're intending to do.
Best regards,
Chris.

This QOverclock does not work at OZ.
The /proc/cpu/registers -file is not there.
I search anything, to do that at OZ, but cannot find...
Anybody any idea, how to change the PPCR-Register of the CPU ?
There the PLL will be configured.
QOverclock does simply change the PPCR-Register in the file
/proc/cpu/registers.

It depends on your kernel - that file is created by the kernel.
You're running OpenZaurus? I've never tried overclocking my 5500 - you might try searching/asking on the openzaurus-devel/user mailing lists to see if there's a different file, or a kernel patch which could be applied easily to create it.
