Title: Anyone Doing A Port Of Mbrola For Zaurus?
Post by: Meanie on April 09, 2005, 10:13:32 pm
Tried flite and its great, but the scottish voice is starting to get on my nerve and I want to replace it with some other voice? It would be great to get the flite source and recompile it with another voice. Alternatively, there seem to be much more choices with MBROLA voices so I was wondering if there is a Zaurus version of their engine?

hello meani,

you can find working mbrola arm-binaries on their homepage:

http://tcts.fpms.ac.be/synthesis/mbrola/bi...nux/mbr301h.zip (http://tcts.fpms.ac.be/synthesis/mbrola/bin/pocketlinux/mbr301h.zip)

but you need also a tts system on your zaurus, which works with mbrola.
this seems to be the problem.
