Title: Where Are Toolchains To Compile Application For Z?
Post by: harryhe on April 13, 2005, 05:15:38 am
I will do some development on my Zaurus (SL5600C), but I can't find toolchains from sharp zaurus sits (may be closed now). so I appealed to google and reached OpenEmbedded, However, it seems I must rebuild OE manually to get the toolchains, it is really an "ugly" idea since I don't know how to build it in my RedHat 8.0.

Can anyone give some advice? or are there existed toolchains for Z in RedHat 8.0

There is one at externe.net/zaurus

edit: oops. thought you meant you didn't want to do OZ when you said yoo didn't want to do oe.  oe is pretty easy-- just follow the wiki. Though if you have a 2.4 based setup, the additional kernel crosscompiling setup gets a bit annoying.

You don't have to do much manually - follow the instructions and set it running - it will download, configure, build and install the toolchain and dependencies for you.
