instead of version 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix-3.5.3
i downloaded the files for the same place?
I also have a question about bluetooth.
the green light on the bluetooth card flash green then goes out, is there some configuration I am missing?

Afraid I don't know anything about bluetooth cards, but make sure the kernel flashed properly - If you stick the kernel on its own on a CF card (without an image), you can flash the kernel seperate without touching your rootfs - Make sure you've named it 'zImage' (quite possibly case-sensitive) and before you flash, make sure you've checked the md5sum to see that it matches those listed.
Hope that helps.

Re. BT cards - what is the card?
What does 'cardctl info' and 'cardctl status' show? Can you run 'hcitool scan' etc.?

If you get the kernel WARNING, then you didn't flash the proper kernel. It's simple as that. Watch out for extensions etc.

Thats for the tips, I cannot understand, where is got the wrong kernel from I downloaded the files at the same time from the same place. I clean up and download them again.
As for the BT card, I have a Belkin F8T020.
It shows up as a Compaq sleeve or similar. I can accutally see the card "collie" from my laptop but cannot validate it.
the log says somthing like
bcsp_rscv error received 1 expected 0.
I am hoping that my kernel issue is causing problems and when I fix that the rest will work.
thanks
for your help

I have downloaded another copy of the kernel and still get the warning, I may have to flash a different os and then try again with OZ 3.5.3

What did you name the kernel before flashing?
Did you check its md5sum?
If the kernel is not recognised, only the ROM image will be flashed, and the old kernel will remain - giving you an error.

issue fixed, it seems that the sd card I had in from a previous install was the cause of the error.
I reformated that card and the warning has stopped.
thanks for all the help.
