quite a few people want a copy of the CIA world fact book, and some places sell it in a form suitable for a PDA; there are quite a few people with Zs who read ebooks and I figured they might be interested in a free download, rather than having to use plucker to make their own version.

I wanted a copy for myself... some of the maps and data are hard to find. The maps look good even on the 5xxx models.
Thanks

Well, I had even written a small program of some basic facts culled from this in a Python/PyQt based program (my first program to learn Python on Zaurus) called WorldZ.
I even managed to sell a few copies, so I can imagine many people do want /need such country based data.
Maybe we can move this to the Off Topic forum after all

An EPWING version of the 2004 World Factbook, suitable for use with Zten/ZtenV, is available from:
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA037273/#pddh (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA037273/#pddh)
Here is a direct link to the download page:

Note that the archive is in LZH format; you can use the program LHA to decompress it. There is a version of lha available for the Zaurus at:

Ahh ok, my bad. Posts with just an url on here tend to be companies trying to spam 9 times out of 10, so I just keep an eye out

ok, you're forgiven
I think the site's owners tend to smack-down spamming... this is one of the best forums I've used in terms of signal to noise ratio. I spend far too much time here.

ya, I don't think this is spam...
and, I thank you for the factbook.
