I tried to follow the instructions to upgrade from OZ 3.5.2 / Opie 1.1.7,
to OZ 3.5.3 / Opie 1.2 but something didn't work. Upon boot, I get
You are using the wrong kernel!
You are running ' Linux 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix-021129 '
I expect kernel ' Linux 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix-3.5.3 '
I take it that the kernel (zImage) didn't flash properly.
1) I'm using a ext2-formatted SD card. Does it have to be vfat
for the upgrade to work properly?
2) when the update runs, it says something like
Flash erase done.
0% 100%
..........
Please reset.
That is, the dots don't quite go all the way up to the 100% mark,
which looks suspicious.
I've tried both zImage and zImage.bin in the root directory of the
SD card, with the same results.
If I let the boot continue, Opie starts, and says it is 1.2. Is
it ok to just go ahead and ignore the warning and run this way?
Any suggestions?

Yes. Or fat16.
I'm suprised you've flashed anything at all (and have Opie working) - were you running an Opie ROM beforehand?

I think it should be zImage.bin

Yes, and that time the SD card was vfat. This time, I mixed 3.5.2 instructions with
3.5.3 updater.sh, which was the problem.
Thank you for the reply.
